February 20th is the 51st day of the Gregorian Calendar. In 1547, Edward VI of England is crowned King of England and Ireland at Westminster Abbey. King Edward VI was crowned king at the age of nine. He was the last surviving son of Henry VIII from his third wife Jane Seymour. During his reign, England and Ireland was ruled by a regency, since King Edward never reached maturity, dying at the age of 15 in 1553.
