In 1692, Sarah Good, Sarah Osborne, and Tituba are brought before local magistrate in Salem Village, Massachusetts, this begins what is now known as the Salem Witch Trials. Lasting from February 1692 to May 1693, over 200 people were accused of witchcraft, thirty people were found guilty. Nineteen of those thirty were hung, one man was pressed to death, and at least five people died in jail.
